I try not to use the microwave very often.
But, this bun recipe is worth making!
Flaxseeds are known for many health benefits from healthy digestion to having Omega-3 healthy fats, to high fibre.
These high-protein homemade buns, are amazing addition to your burger nights!
And with this warm weather we are having teasing us that spring is around the corner ~ you bet I am lighting up the BBQ!
HOW TO MAKE A FLAX BUN:
In a microwave safe bowl add:
4 tbsp flax meal (5g protein)
1 egg (approx. 6g protein)
1/2 tsp baking powder
~ Whisk together
~ Then ~ sprinkle everything bagel seasoning on top, garlic powder or poppy seeds. I used everything bagel seasoning.
Put in microwave for 90secs.
And voila! You have yourself a homemade protein-packed bun with 11grams of protein!
