I am going to share with you the best ways to long term weight loss, good health and longevity!!!
It’s as simple as:
1. Eat your greens.
2. Exercise everyday.
3. Make sure to get enough sleep.
Yep ..... That is it!!! Seriously .... it is!!
Oh, but you knew this already .... right!?
It’s not that we don’t know what to do, already. We just need to admit to ourselves that we just don’t know how to make ourselves DO IT consistently enough to make our resolutions long term habits.
Let’s talk about New Years ‘resolutions’.
✔️Twenty-Five percent of people abandon their New Years Resolutions after just one week.
✔️An overwhelming 60 percent of people drop their resolutions by February.
✔️The average person will make the same resolutions many times without success.
I mean .... I get it, it’s not that people do not WANT to change, it’s just hard to stick to things. The problem is, people go about it the wrong way!
So, how do you create and more importantly, maintain long-term habits?
✔️DISCIPLINE ~ buying into an eating plan program where there are strict rules and possibly even cutting out certain food groups is restricting. Sure, you’ll eat less but once you get tired of it, you’ll be right back where you started.
Diet plans don’t actually teach you skills that are going to contribute to long term success.
✔️MOTIVATION ~ we sign up for crazy expensive gyms or workout programs with or without a friend to stay motivated ~ with the hopes that you will be motivated to keep up with your workouts. You need to find things that you will enjoy doing week after week, that won’t feel like such a chore.
✔️WILLPOWER ~ we force ourselves to get out of bed and workout, we talk mean to ourselves in front of the mirror. We talk ourselves into not eating the foods we think are “BAD”.
Having too many rules can cause unnecessary stress, which leads to the end result of NOT actually following any of them.
If you want to make weight loss and long term healthy changes for real and create the body only YOU can be proud of and have energy, you need to make it as effortless and natural as brushing your teeth, washing your face, making your morning coffee and now, putting on a mask when you enter a store.
What we need is better HABITS.
Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing ideas on making healthy habits YOUR reality.
